Just getting started and then it's almost the holidays!

So much has been happening, it's almost hard to keep up with it all!

Two Saturdays ago was one of the busiest we have had in a long time:
1. Several students attended WIVC chorus festival at Western Illinois University while....
2. Many others participated in IESA state literary contest, at the same time....
3. Our basketball girls were participating in the Athens tournament, and.....
4. Our boys were playing ball somewhere else

Needless to say, our students had a really good time.

Just this past Saturday our 8th grade boys won the Winchester Tournament, and our girls had a nail biter game earlier in the week.

We are doing some great things educationally too:
The 8th graders just finished up their cross curricular unit on the Holocaust. They will be making a trip to the Holocaust Museum in St. Louis to finish up their study. It has been an amazing experience for the kids. Check out Mrs. Rhoades blog for more info.

Our 4th graders have been studying simple machines, and they made their own marble
contraptions with said machines. Aren't they great!

Our 7th and 8th graders had their fall festival no
discipline fun and learning day last week for the first quarter. The pictures can tell the story better than I.
