What a Busy Time!

So much is happening here at North Greene Middle School I thought I would fill you in.

1. Baseball is about to wind down. We have had a great season against some giant teams. Our regional game will be played tomorrow at 10:00 in Bunker Hill.

2. Our open house was last night and was extremely well attended. I love to be able to use the school reach system to communicate with all of you. Thank you so much for coming and seeing all of us.

3. Isn't it amazing that we are already practicing for basketball. Our first home came is Monday!

4. Watch for progress reports on Friday, the 25th.

5. Record numbers of kids have opted to participate in speech/literary contest this fall. Our future actors and actresses are amazing me all the time.

6. Kids who want to participate in band for the first time will be able to pick an instrument on September 29.

7. Such exciting things are happening in the classrooms. We haven't all gotten our blogs up to date, but we'll be working on it very soon.

8. The planner police started today. Only about 5 students did not have their planners filled out. It was really a lot of fun, and it is so important that our students fill out their planners and you check them. Thanks, it helps our kids learn to be organized.

9. Once a week I am able to take four students out for breakfast. It isn't always the student with the best grades, but sometimes it is. It isn't always the top athlete, but sometimes it is. It is a student the staff recognizes as either able to benefit from a little special attention or is a unique kid, or .....

10. This place is such an exciting place to be. Kids are happy, faculty is happy and I'm happy. Come join us some time we'd love for you to be happy with us.

PARENTS: I have posted a link to a video I think is very meaningful. Take a chance and watch it if you will. I will warn you though, it IS very true to life.
